Carver City Parks
There are six Carver City Parks located throughout the community, including: Bluff Park (multi-use field, covered shelter, picnic tables, restrooms, electrical outlet and paved parking); Gazebo Park (downtown gazebo, benches); Community Park (softball and baseball fields, covered shelter with picnic tables and restrooms, electrical outlet, grill available upon request, batting cages, two playgrounds, paved parking lot); Depot Park (covered picnic tables, grills, caboose next to historic railroad water tower); Lions (park shelter, ballfield, playground equipment, electrical outlets); Overlook Park (scenic view). Cologne City Parks
Cologne has six city parks: Marion Fields (baseball/softball fields, playground equipment); Meadow Park (new play structure, basketball hoops); VFW Park (playground equipment, tennis courts, covered shelter, picnic tables); Fritz Field (baseball fields, outdoor stadium seats, picnic tables, restrooms, City Square Park under water tower); Lions Park (baseball/softball field, play equipment, restrooms, kitchen, covered shelter with picnic tables, electrical); Village at Cologne Park (playground equipment). Baylor Regional Park

A 200-acre park, Baylor is also home to the Onan Observatory opearted by the Minnesota Astronomical Society. The Observatory has several telescopes for public viewing at scheduled events. Additional facilities at Baylor include campgrounds, a beach, fishing pier, playgrounds, restrooms, picnic shelters and trails.
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park

Lake Minnewashta is a 350-acre park with a boat launch, picnic shelters, swimming beach with lifeguards, creative children's play structure, hiking trails, cross country skiing, volleyball courts, restrooms and fishing pier.
Lake Waconia Regional Park

This recently expanded park and beach area has a children's play area, picnic grounds, picnic shelter and restrooms. A large sliding hill, featuring an 80-foot plunge, offers sledding enthusiasts a scenic view of Lake Waconia and Coney Island.

MN Landscape Arboretum

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum offers more than 1,000 acres of landscaped gardens, natural woodlands, wetlands and prairie, plant collections, and displays. Walk, hike, cross-country ski more than eight miles of trails. Open 363 days a year.
Wildlife Refuge

Made up of eight separate units, the 14,000-acre Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge runs from Bloomington to Jordan, along both sides of the Minnesota River. Nearby Chaska, Rapids Lake and Louisville Swamp Units combine to provide 4,700 acres of outdoor opportunities such as hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, wildlife observation and photography as posted on Refuge interpretive signs.

The City of Carver has a full-time athletic director who coordinates recreation programs for residents of all ages and who schedules the use of city fields, shelters and other facilities. The City of Carver also offers recreation programs for youth, adults and seniors.

The City of Chaska also operates the Chaska Community Center, which includes a swimming pool, splash pad, gyms, racquetball courts, ice arena, preschool play castle, a gallery and theater, advanced fitness equipment and several amenities including an on-site café. Located next to the Community Center is The Lodge, which opened in 2007 to serve Active Older Adults (AOA) ages 55 and older.
